Every third Saturday in July, New Orleanians, musicians and performers, from across the city,  come together for the Jude-Sounds Of New Orleans Benefit Concert for St. Jude Community Center.  First held on July 19, 2011, Jude-Sono Founder Ed Perkins organized an amazing array of community leaders to bring this labor of love to fruition.

Finally, Ed Perkins' passion for music is complimented by his passion to serve others.  After graduating with a BS in Science and working as surgical nurse, Ed decided to eventually serve the community as a New Orleans Police Officer.  He spent 10 years on the SWAT team and five years working with the FBI in the Violent Crime Squad.  It is not surprising that one of Ed's favorite sayings when he is invited to speak with groups is, "Living is Giving"
